Who We Are

The University at Albany's Living-Learning Communities (L-LCs) provide you with an opportunity to live and take classes with other incoming freshmen who share your personal interests, passions or intended academic major.

You can select from a wide range of L-LCs that are divided into two groups: major-specific communities, based around academic interests and intended majors; and special-interest communities, based around common interests among students.

When you reside in an L-LC, you enjoy all the same amenities as other student residents, yet benefit from a unique, community-oriented living experience.

New! Check out this recording of our Spring 2021 Virtual Open House webinar about L-LCs!

What We Do

The Office of Student Engagement, Undergraduate Education works to provide opportunities and pathways for students to be active and engaged in their studies, both inside and outside the classroom. At UAlbany, students and professors find many ways to connect with one another. Explore our site to see how.
