Delaware Community School

At Delaware Community School, our mission is to work in partnership with our diverse community to engage every learner in a robust educational program designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for success. We work hard to educate the whole child, which includes both academic and social-emotional learning.

Delaware is a community school- The community school model is built upon a single profound truth: students cannot meet their fullest potential until their fundamental needs are met. To meet those needs, community schools place a full-time community school site coordinator within the school building to work shoulder to shoulder with a team of principals, teachers, parents and community members. Together, they identify the unique obstacles faced by their students and forge partnerships with community-based organizations to help overcome these obstacles. Currently we are creating a food pantry where we will be packing weekly bags for families to receive
