About the Role We Are Artistic is a youth‑led nonprofit that uses creativity, community, and storytelling to uplift young people across DC and internationally. As a Community Impact Ambassador, you will help strengthen our presence in the community by connecting youth, families, and partners to our programs and mission.

Responsibilities

Share information about workshops, events, and volunteer opportunities with schools, community centers, and local organizationsRepresent We Are Artistic at outreach events, tabling opportunities, and community gatheringsBuild positive relationships with youth, families, and partners to increase engagementSupport recruitment for youth participants, volunteers, and creative collaboratorsProvide feedback and ideas that help expand our community impactQualifications

We’re looking for a creative individual to help us grow our presence on TikTok by producing engaging content centered around art, creativity, and community service. You'll help spotlight our projects, inspire others to volunteer, and keep our content fresh by hopping on trends and interacting with other creators.

What you’ll do:

Create short, engaging TikToks about art and volunteeringStay up-to-date with TikTok trends and adapt them to our missionHighlight our organization’s impact in fun and creative waysInteract with other creators, art communities, and volunteer-related content

In this exciting role, you'll manage our online gallery, assist with creative initiatives, and occasionally support content creation for social media or other digital platforms. You’ll play a key part in how we showcase the work and voices of our community.

As a Creative Projects Volunteer, you will:

Review and respond to gallery submission requestsUpload artwork and content to our online gallery platformCollaborate on creative projects that support our missionOccasionally assist with content creation (graphics, social posts, or copy)

Lead the editorial process: review, edit, and provide feedback on all magazine submissionsWork closely with youth writers to develop strong, authentic contentCollaborate with the lead team to set themes, plan issues, and shape the magazine’s voiceEnsure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with our mission and valuesSupport the recruitment and mentorship of new contributorsContribute your own writing when appropriate
