Needs From: Engage UAlbany - Get Connected to Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer: Book Bike Rider

Grassroot Givers has two CDPHP sponsored e-assisted Book Bikes. These bikes are mobile libraries that travel to schools, parks, and community events, providing free books to children and encouraging a love of reading. We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join us as Book Bike riders. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals to engage with the community, promote literacy, and make a tangible impact on the lives of young readers. Volunteers will help ride the e-assisted bikes to their destination, distribute books, interact with children and families, and support our mission to ensure every child has access to books.
You can volunteer as an individual, a pair, or as a small group. We need riders and drivers to help drive additional books to the Book Bike visit sites. If you are interested in volunteering or learning more about this opportunity, please let us know. We are eager to make this season the best one yet! We can be reached at info@grassrootgivers.org.
