The Friends & Foundation of Albany Public Library are getting our shed ready for winter with a big CLEARANCE SALE!
We need many hands to get books out of the shed in the morning and get books back into the shed in the evening. And we need help all day sorting and greeting visitors.
We need people of all different skills and abilities.
- Athletes? Come and carry heavy boxes of books with ease! We need to get all the boxes out of the shed.
- Artists? Make chalk drawings, or lead kids to make chalk drawings while their parents shop.
- Catalogers? Put the mysteries with the mysteries and the cookbooks with the cookbooks.
- Messy People? Spill out the boxes
- Neat People? Organize the books
- Introverts? Don't talk to anyone while you go through the tables deciding what to keep and what to discard!
- Extroverts: Chat with shoppers while they browse the books
If we have enough volunteers, we will also make and serve coffee all day!
Sign up for one hour, two hours, or all day. Sale runs from 12pm - 5pm. Set-up begins 10am and packup should be done around 6pm.
