Volunteer to help Albany residents prepare their home for winter, assisting in saving energy, money and carbon emissions! The UAlbany Green Scene is partnering with the City of Albany Love Your Block program. Volunteers meet at the Love Your Block offices at 200 Henry Johnson Boulevard on Saturday, November 16 at 9 am and then go out in teams to the homes. Lunch and transportation provided. Participants receive a training handbook and videos to view before performing the services which consist of insulating pipes, putting plastic on windows, caulking, weather stripping and installing water aerators. Practice sessions on November 11 to 15 from 5 to 8 pm. Those signing up on Engage will be sent the registration form, training materials and schedule. Deadline to sign up is November 11. Questions?
