Mississippi Day is an event which honors the history and the people who moved from Mississippi to Albany in the 1950's to help build and grow the city of Albany. With great love for their home state and it's people, these Mississipians were in search of a better life for their families.  Mississippi Day honors the struggle for Civil Rights and the dreams of southern migrants by showcasing the culture and cuisine of their southern roots.

Mississippi Day volunteers needed on these shifts - They could use up to 20 for each shift. T
 
9am - 11am for set up 
11am - 1pm for March and volunteering after the March 
1pm - 3pm for event
3pm - 5pm for event
5pm - 7pm for clean up
