Mississippi Day is an event which honors the history and the people who moved from Mississippi to Albany in the 1950's to help build and grow the city of Albany. With great love for their home state and it's people, these Mississipians were in search of a better life for their families. Mississippi Day honors the struggle for Civil Rights and the dreams of southern migrants by showcasing the culture and cuisine of their southern roots.
