Requirement: Must register for one of the following needs:
Volunteer Positions Available:
- Parking Lot
- Job is to guide people as they arrive from the parking lot (Dutch Quad) to the shuttle or SEFCU
- 8 positions
- Time Commitment 8 AM-11 AM
- SEFCU Attendants/Directors
- Job is to fill seats for the Welcome Session and after stand from SEFCU to the podium and direct people to the LCs
- 10 positions
- Time Commitment 8 AM – 11AM
- Check-in/Welcome Session Attendants:
- 6 positions available
- Job is to be near the check-in tables and greet the families when they arrive and to keep the lines moving. There will be at least two or three Admissions employees to check people in at each table, so it’s the student volunteer’s job to make sure the families know they can move ahead
- Time commitment: 8 AM – 11 AM
- Opening Table Attendants:
- 2 positions available
- Help out the professional staff from Admissions by distributing materials, and making sure that they have enough on hand, replacing as needed.
- Time Commitment 8 AM-11 AM
- Tour Tent Attendants
- Help direct people to the tours
- 6 positions
- Time Commitment 10:30 AM-1:00 PM
- Photo Booth Volunteers:
- Help out with photo station and get people excited!
- Must be extremely careful – expensive equipment! All guests can take photos and email or text those to themselves right from the iPad, all you have to do is be enthusiastic and help with props/signs. Photobomb them if you want!

- Deposit Station Volunteers:
- Help welcome students who officially make their deposit to come to UAlbany, class of 2023!
- Cheer!, hand out goodies, help take pictures on “Purple Carpet phot area”

- LC Door Attendants/Mingling
- 15-20 positions
- Stands by doors of the LCs, directs people where they need to go, fill in seats in larger sessions, and makes sure door does not slam loudly after the session has begun. Also should mingle with families and prospective students between and after sessions
