Who We Are
The University at Albany’s commitment to addressing the pressing needs of society is long-standing, growing from our roots as a state normal school (1844) and our strategic location in New York’s capital city. Today, through engaged scholarship, teaching, and service, UAlbany is a global partner with the public and private sectors addressing critical challenges in hundreds of ways.
What We Do
The mission of the Office for Public Engagement is to support the University's capacity to do public good, locally and globally, through the advancement of research, teaching and community engagement initiatives that address societal issues.
