 Our vision is a just community where empowered people have equitable access to opportunities and resources.

We identify inequities and confront their root causes by galvanizing the community and leveraging resources to create transformational change.  

AVillage works with several partner organizations in the South End of Albany. During the current pandemic crisis we are expanding our Block Ambassador program and working with other organizations to identify unmet needs in the neighborhood. A new website, https://518mutual-aid.com, is up and running and our network of Ambassadors is expanding daily. 

Some of the basic needs can be met by existing agencies, and some require more volunteers than we currently have available. Individuals who are trained and familiarize themselves with existing services can serve as phone contacts. We also need people to deliver food and other necessities.
