UAlbany Students Stopping Trafficking Of People (SSTOP)

Who We Are

SSTOP is a club on campus focused on doing community service projects, fundraisers, trainings, and hosting informative events to raise awareness of what students could do to help combat the growing problem of human trafficking. Some of our events also help survivors of human trafficking. Human trafficking is the use of force, fraud, and coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act (modern-day slavery). SSTOP also got UAlbany to become the first SUNY and the 68th Fair Trade designated college!

What We Do

UAlbany Students Stopping Trafficking Of People (SSTOP) is a student group at the university committed to raising awareness for and combatting the issue of human trafficking. We hold fundraisers, panels, and educational/community service events to bring attention to human trafficking in the Capital Region, the United States, and around the world.
