On Tuesday, October 22, UAlbany's Unified Sports will be partnering with the Special Olympics to host a flag football game featuring Special Olympics Athletes.
UAlbany students who are willing to come out and cheer on the athletes from the sidelines will be eligible to receive one-hour of community service credit.
The game will take place on the Dutch Quad Turf Field from 7:30-8:30 p.m. The athletes will be broken into two teams (Purple/White). Therefore, if you would like to bring a sign to show your support for team purple/team white, you're more than welcome.
Unified Sports is an initiative that partners Special Olympic Athletes
with UAlbany Students through sport and recreational activities. Special
Olympic Athletes and UAlbany students have been competing in a season long
Football competition focused on skill development and relationship building.
