Giffen Elementary in partnership with Love Your Block will be hosting a Block Party to welcome students and parents back and get started for another successful year. Volunteers are needed to help
set up event
break down event
serve food to attendees,
sign in volunteers and participants,
run kids games,
being a Floater picking up litter, emptying full trash and recycling, answering questions, and providing support where needed.
Volunteers should arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of their volunteer shift and should expect to stay for the entire duration of the event.
If there is one specific task you would like above others, please specify when you sign up or you can email Erin Johanns separately at ejohanns@albanyny.gov. Likewise, if you need to leave arrive or arrive late please notify in your sign up.
