Are you interested in helping community members save money and be more comfortable this winter? Each year the Office of Sustainability partners with the City of Albany Love Your Block program to provide weatherization services in area neighborhoods. Weatherization involves preparing a home or apartment for winter in order to make the residence warmer and use less energy.
This years' service days will be held on Saturday November 15 and 22. Sign up to volunteer using this link and select a training workshop date.
At the training workshops, you will receive training to assist those that can't afford or aren't able to physically do the weatherization techniques themselves. You need to attend one training to participate in a service day. All students visit homes in groups on the service days.
Transportation and lunch are provided at the service days.
