Join the Community and Public Service Program (CPSP) for a hands-on evening of creativity and community impact!
Volunteers will be adding Envelopes, Subscription forms, and Infographics to literacy kits previously made by volunteers for children ages 0-5 that will be distributed throughout the Capital District.
Each literacy kit will be equipped with information to help families enroll in free book subscriptions through the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, made possible locally through the United Way of the Greater Capital Region. These subscriptions allow children to receive high-quality books delivered to their homes at no cost to families.
Students will also create handmade, thought-provoking notes for fellow UAlbany students. These notes will be distributed around campus to brighten someone’s day, encourage resilience, and remind students that they are seen, valued, and supported. No artistic experience is needed! All supplies will be provided; just bring your creativity, compassion, and positive energy.
