We need volunteers to help event-goers and the City of Albany reduce waste at the Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival. We will be at Jennings Landing Park in Albany along the river helping collect food scraps and cans, and giving out information at our green Zero Waste tent.
The shifts are: 9:30 am - 12 pm (set up and table/Zero Waste stations), 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm (table/zero waste stations), 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm (table/zero waste stations), 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm (break down, watch fireworks at 8 pm, pack up).
Volunteers are needed in two different ways. Sign up for a shift here.
1) Tabling: Volunteers help manage our information table where we provide information on sustainable living. We have a quiz with prizes too!
2) Zero Waste Station management: You will be a Zero Waste Ambassador, helping people sort their waste into food scraps, recycling, and landfill bins. We'll also be collecting cans for recycling.
