Description

A discussion around whether vaccination passports are morally right on campus and in general? As we continue to fight against Covid-19 we have seen the requirement for vaccination become more of a reality each day. Does public health concerns like a pandemic outweigh autonomy over our bodies?  Are vaccination passports constitutional? The country is divided on this front, some states like New York have been on top of aligning Covid-19 policy with the CDC and there are states such as Florida that have banned mask mandates within schools. Recently there has been a climate of confusion and distrust surrounding the government and an overall massive divide within the country.  We have seen Covid-19 enforcement on campus, where U Albany students are now required to be vaccinated to be on campus or use any campus facilities. I want to know what are your thoughts about the direction U Albany and the country as a whole is headed in terms of the pandemic?

We are looking for volunteers to have orderly discussion about the pandemic and the recent mandates, as well as contribute to the conversation and help collect a consensus about how the UAlbany community feels. Stop by the CC Table Fountain.
