The NYS Writers Institute is presenting the 2nd annual Albany Film Festival on Saturday, April 2, 2022, on the UAlbany Uptown Campus.
We'd love help from student volunteers at this event!
Volunteer shifts are available throughout the day (10am-2pm, and 2pm-6pm). The first official event would begin at 10:30am.
Please plan to check-in at the Festival information desk which will be at the GO Desk in Campus Center West (near Starbucks and across from the Campus Center West Connections desk).
You will be given a yellow “staff” lanyard and be given an assignment for your shift.
In accordance with the university's current COVID restrictions - masks are optional.
Various volunteer activities would include:
- Helping to direct attendees and answer questions in designated areas in the Campus Center West, in the Lecture Center concourses, and outdoors on the podium level directing people to either Campus Center West or the Lecture Centers.
- Welcoming attendees and passing out programs
- Event Venue Monitor - assist with seating in the venue, keep event running on time, assisting with starting the films/clips for each event, assisting with room technology as needed.
- Speaker Escort - walking with featured speakers from the green room area to their designated event space
