On July 26th, from 8AM-!2PM, volunteers from across the University will come together to assist in distributing food to over 500 Capital Region families. This drive-through food drive, sponsored by Catholic Charities, will take place in the Northwest Gold parking lot (across from Colonial Quad). The food drive is open to any person/persons in need and is being advertised widely by several local neighborhood associations.
A substantial number of volunteers will be needed throughout the event to help organize the food into bags/boxes and provide it to those who are in need. Volunteer shifts will occur in two-hour increments (8AM-10AM, 10AM-12PM).
The food drive will occur rain or shine so please dress for the weather.
