Volunteers are needed to assist with the setup and breakdown of the Annual Upper Madison Street Fair. This yearly festival features a wide array of vendors, food trucks, live music, raffles, and family activities. The street fair takes place on Madison Avenue directly across from the Albany Police Station located at 536 Western Avenue. This year's festival will occur on Sunday, October 2nd from Noon-5PM.
Volunteers are needed for three distinct shifts including:
- Saturday, October 1: 12:45PM-4PM
- Sunday, October 2: 9:45AM-12PM
- Sunday, October 2: 4:15PM-6:30PM
Volunteer responsibilities will include arranging tables/chairs, disseminating items for the raffle/book fair, assisting vendors/fair organizers with general setup and breakdown needs. Volunteers are also encouraged to take time during the event to enjoy the festivities (free music, games, etc.).
The festival is rain or shine so please be sure to dress for the weather. The location of the festival is located on the bus route. However, if volunteers choose to drive, please allow yourself extra time to find available parking.
